
Melanie honoured by her village in Kenya Melanie Peyian, the RCWE sponsored student, was recently honoured by her village in Kenya. Melanie is the first person in Kimuka to graduate from university and become a doctor. Melanie expressed her gratitude to RCWE for making this possible and is determined to help her village in the future. June Wade, the Shelter Box area representative in Western Australia made a presentation to the club on the use of Shelter Box facilities in places of disaster. This project is supported by 46,000 Rotary clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas.

RCWE helps park cars at Wanneroo Raceway
RCWE members and friends volunteered to help park more than 4,000 vehicles at the Wanneroo Raceway on the weekend of 28 April and 30 April 2023. Led by Jane O'Leary and David Fisher! $4,500 proceeds of the event will go towards community projects. |
CLUB VISITS MY HOME PROJECT Our Club supports the My Home dwellings in Congdon Street North Fremantle on 6 May 2023. To Rotary has undertaken to “make these houses into homes” by providing furniture and household items to the houses being constructed by “My Home” in a number of ways by; - Direct fund raising by Rotary Clubs to purchase furniture and household items for the houses. - Seek funds through grants to supplement the funds raised by Rotary Clubs.
- Use the Rotary network to seek equipment donations or funds from companies or private individuals.
- Use the Rotary network to have volunteers provide plants and assist in landscaping and reticulating the properties, and in other areas where practical.
- Provide support services of a professional or trade nature where appropriate

Anji Srivatsa is the Charter President of the world’s first cause based Rotary club of Organ Donation. He is based in India but is currently on a mission around the world to promote Rotary's advocacy of organ donation. Anji is in Perth to attend the World Transplant Games with his brother to whom he donated one of his kidneys. |
