RCWE and the open day at the Leederville Bowlo

President Marcus Harris funded a meat tray for the monthly raffle at the Leederville Sporting Club last Sunday. While selling tickets to members and guests, he and Past President Peter Batskos extolled the virtues of Rotary to LSC members. Approximately 300 attended the event. PP Peter presented the prize on behalf of the RCWE and is eager to hear from potential new members.

RCWE enhances the bush ecology at Lake Claremont

Rotary club members led by David Fisher, Jane and Brendon O'Leary, Judy Dinnison, Tony Parker and Harry Nesbitt weeded the club's allotted piece of rehabilitated golf course In Claremont on Saturday 09 September. The next cleanup is due on 30 September 2023.

Aboriginal art for sale in Arnhem Land.

Our presentation on 22 August, 2023 was on "Impressions of Arnhem Land "by Harry Nesbitt. Included were Harry's impressions of the scenery, aboriginal art and culture in the Northern Territory.

Tree planting in Quairading, 2023

Rotary club members, family and friends faced cold, wet weather to plant trees at Quairading on National Tree Planting Day. This event, organized by the Rotary Club of Quairading attracted helpers from a number of organizations. Our club was led by Byron Williamson and Judy Dinnison who deftly manned the Pottiputki tree planters.

Dinner at the Pines Restaurant

RCWE members and friends joined for dinner at the Bentley Pines Restaurant in August. All staff were either trainees or training staff of the Bentley TAFF. The food was judged to be excellent and service outstanding.
