Jane joined the Rotary Club of Western Endeavour in 2004 while working at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital as the Catering Officer.  In 2006 Jane resigned from this position and travelled for 6 months in India with her partner, Brendan.  In Singapore on the way home, he proposed and they were married at Camp Symons, Araluen in 2009.  Since them Jane has worked in the mining sector at various sites around the state and in various roles from Bar Chick to Catering Manager of Gap Ridge Village, a 2,000 man camp near Karratha.  This was followed by a 6 month period in Learning and Development as a systems trainer for the same company.  Jane retired from working for others in May 2013 and is now a partner in Epicurous Consulting with her husband Brendan.  This allowed Jane more time to spend on Rotary in her year as president. Jane has also held the role of Fundraising Director for the club.  She has 4 adult step children and 3 step grandchildren all of whom bring great joy to her life.  Jane assists District 9455 with the setting up of  Earlyact Clubs in primary schools.
